About: Dr. Yohanna received his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed an internship and psychiatric residency at Northwestern University 's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatric. He was the Medical Director of the Stone Institute of Psychiatry and on the full-time faculty of Northwestern Medical School from 1991 until 2005. He is now the Clinical Mission Director at the University of Chicago 's Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Yohanna has been involved in developing systems of care and advocacy for the people with severe and persistent mental illness. He was co-chair of the Illinois Department of Mental Health's Planning and Advisory Council, is a current a counselor of the Illinois Psychiatric Society (IPS), fellow of the Institute of Medicine of Chicago, a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the president-elect of the IPS for 2006-2007 term. |
