Maggie Collins, PsyD, CST is a licensed clinical psychologist and AASECT certified sex therapist specializing in OBGYN mental health, trauma-responsive care, and sexual health. Dr. Collins works with young adults, adults, and couples referred from OBGYN providers at UChicago Medicine for outpatient psychotherapy.

Dr. Collins strives to create a therapy space where patients feel respected, understood, and able to show up fully as themselves. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and systemic principles, therapy with Dr. Collins focuses not only on internal experiences like thoughts and emotions, but also on the social, relational, and cultural contexts that shape those experiences. She collaborates with medical providers to understand the biopsychosocial factors impacting her patients' lives. Dr. Collins helps patients identify their own values, cultivate existing strengths, and develop greater self-understanding. Her mission is to help patients (1) find symptom relief and stability, (2) deepen understanding of the underlying factors contributing to distress, and ultimately (3) build psychological flexibility so they can move toward lives that feel meaningful, even in the presence of pain, uncertainty, or difficult experiences.
